A Little Buckeye Crochet

osu scarf1

I whipped up a really quick scarf for my childhood friend’s birthday last week.  He, like  most of us that live in Ohio, are avid OSU Buckeye fans.  I finished it about an hour before I left for his surprise birthday party.

He loved it!  It will keep him warm for the big game this Saturday!  Go Bucks!  Beat Michigan!

My granddaughter found this multi color practice scarf that I knitted a few years ago.  She thought it looked good with her new purple winter coat!

It’s going to be a quiet Thanksgiving for us this year.  Just me, my husband and my oldest son for dinner.  I miss the big family gatherings we used to have when my parents were still living.  But, nothing stays the same …. family and friends move away….our love ones pass on.  I guess we make new memories as time goes by.  I think I might enjoy the peacefulness for a change though.  I am still cooking…….. so that hasn’t changed!

Hope your holiday is blessed and everything you want it to be!

xo, Patti

I like the Buckeye scarf. I wonder how many reading this wonders what a Buckeye is. OH IO.
The look on your granddaughter's face is precious.
We are going to my sona nd his wife's home on Wed. eve. They are kinda working us in. My DIL's mom is very ill, so I do understand. Then on Thursday I will cook a very mini dinner for my husband and our youngest son. Very small this year. It's okay.
I hope your day goes well. I know you will be missing those grandbabies.

I know your friend will wear that scarf with pride! You did a great job. We will be quiet, too. My husband, two sons and my Dad. We are used to 27 to 30 people at my MIL's house so this will be new to us.
Hugs to you Patti,
Meredith

What a darling Buckeye scarf Patti. My Grandmother used to knit slippers for all her grandchildren every Christmas and everyone of us cherished them - even the boys. A very fond memory of my Grandmother and her kindness to us.

Patti, You are still listed in my blog reader as your old blog name, so I've missed some of your newer posts. I'll have to change it as soon as I finish up here. I have not intentionally been ignoring you! LOL
Oh my, how your grand daughter looks like you. :-) Love your Buckeye inspired scarf- didn't know that crocheting was one of your talents. Alright, OSU- wish they could have been playing the Irish in the big game~ oh well..... Thanks for coming by for a visit. We need to have a meet-up one of these days. xo Sue

MY DEAR, DEAR PATTI!

How wonderful it is to see you my dear. I just pray that all that you do will spark the passions you have within. Sometimes however, we certainly need a break, and I am taking one just from posting. I will be back after my trip to California.

It is really nice to come to see you and I wish you health and happiness dearest Patti! Anita
